Ros Fiol (b. Miami, FL, 1997) is a Cuban-American artist and animator who balances play and sentimentality in his work to help explore nuanced modes of love, connection and belonging. He leans into personal childhood imagery and often incorporates writing to contextualize his belief in both the inner child’s self-efficacy and nostalgia’s healing power. A lifelong learner, Ros believes that the most salient life lessons start at home.

Ros graduated with a BFA in Printmaking and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Florida in 2020, and earned his MFA in Animation & Digital Arts from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts in 2023. He has exhibited across Florida, California, Maryland, and Japan, and continues to extend his reach with recent animated work online. Ros was featured in Shoutout LA and is currently touring his recent film work around various domestic and international film festivals. In his free time, Ros loves all things comedy and dance; he has many years of experience teaching and performing improv comedy, and thoroughly enjoys Salsa and Hip-Hop. He also has a twin brother who is a musician!
