Brenden Schaefer brings to LAMusArt a background in strategic planning, marketing and entrepreneurship, along with a deep appreciation for the value of a quality arts education. Before embarking on his business career, Brenden's main focus throughout high school and college was studying and performing jazz on the double bass, providing him with first-hand experience of the magic of music and the arts.

Brenden most recently served as the Founder & CEO of Bright Foods, a company he started out of his kitchen and sold five years later. The Bright team pioneered a new-to-the-world line of 100% plant-based, refrigerated fruit & vegetable bars offering the benefits of whole food in a convenient, on-the-go format. The bars were named the most innovative product out of 4,000 companies at Expo West (the world's largest natural food show) in 2019, and over the next two years, Brenden and the team gained national distribution before selling the business to BLD Capital.

Prior to founding Bright Foods, Brenden spent nine years working for PepsiCo in New York, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Los Angeles. He began in the Corporate Strategy group working under CEO Indra Nooyi, then progressed through a series of brand marketing roles of increasing responsibility. He joined PepsiCo after working at L.E.K. Consulting.

Brenden graduated from Tufts and attended the joint-degree program with the New England Conservatory of Music.
