Jonathan Perez is a university trained opera singer from Cal State University Northridge. Jonathan was immersed in music at a young age when his grandmother introduced him to musical theater as a child. However, he didn’t truly discover his passion until he reached college. During his tenure at Cal State Northridge, he participated in one of the most elite choirs in the LA area, the Northridge Singers, which represents the school both regionally and nationally, winning multiple titles including Choir of the Year. Jonathan was chosen along with his choir to perform for one of America’s most influential composers of the 20th century, Phillip Glass. He has performed in numerous operas; as Papageno in “The Magic Flute”, Mr. Ford in “The Merry Wives of Windsor”, and Guillaume Tell in “Guillaume Tell”. His passion doesn't stop at voice; he is also a classically trained guitarist, and is well versed in numerous genres including blues, rock, and jazz. In his spare time he works on his own orchestral pieces in hopes of one day writing music for film.
