Marlene was born and raised in LAMusArts very own city of Boyle Heights/East LA. She studied Stage and Theatre production and joined LAMusArt in 2015 as Camp MusArt Coordinator, that very year she joined the LAMusArt staff as Administrative Assistant and has assisted in various LAMuArt dance recitals, music concerts and yearly events.

Marlene has always had love for the arts stemming from elementary school musical productions as prop leader, all the way into college productions as stage manager. She has a love and passion for her Mexican heritage as an Aztec dancer for over 13 years and strives to share culture, art and dance with her community.
